The gravitational and electrostatic fields far from an isolated Einstein-Maxwell source

چکیده
The exterior solution for an arbitrary charged, massive source, is studied as a static deviation from the Reissner-Nordstrøm metric. This is reduced to two coupled ordinary differential equations for the gravitational and electrostatic potential functions. The homogeneous equations are explicitly solved in the particular case q2 = m2, obtaining a multipole expansion with radial hypergeometric dependence for both potentials. In the limiting case of a neutral source, the equations are shown to coincide with recent results by Bondi and

Generating Conjecture and Some Einstein-maxwell Field of High Symmetry
There exist different methods to find the solutions of the Einstein–Maxwell equations [1]. Some high symmetry solutions of the Einstein equations have direct astrophysical or cosmological interpretation [2]. In [3], a new conjecture was formulated which says: “ A test electromagnetic field having a potential proportional to the Killing vector of a seed vacuum gravitational field (up to a consta...
متن کاملGravitationally induced electromagnetism at the Compton scale
It is shown that Einstein gravity tends to modify the electric and magnetic fields appreciably at distances of the order of the Compton wavelength. At that distance the gravitational field becomes spin dominated rather than mass dominated. The gravitational field couples to the electromagnetic field via the EinsteinMaxwell equations which in the simplest model causes the electrostatic field of ...
متن کاملMaster equations for perturbations of generalized static black holes with charge in higher dimensions
We extend the formulation for perturbations of maximally symmetric black holes in higher dimensions developed in our previous paper to a charged black hole background whose horizon is described by an Einstein manifold. For charged black holes, perturbations of electromagnetic fields are coupled to the vector and the scalar modes of metric perturbations non-trivially. We show that by taking appr...
متن کاملThe Chevreton Superenergy Tensor in Einstein–Maxwell Spacetimes
In this thesis we investigate the superenergy tensor that was introduced by Chevreton in 1964 as an electromagnetic counterpart to the Bel–Robinson tensor for the gravitational field. We show that in Einstein–Maxwell spacetimes with a source-free electromagnetic field, the Chevreton superenergy tensor has many interesting properties. It is a completely symmetric rank-4 tensor and it gives rise ...
متن کاملEinstein-Yang-Mills-Maxwell-Inflaton System: I. Initial Value Problem
The general hamiltonian formalism for time-dependent EinsteinYang-Mills equations is presented and then applied to the well studied case of spherically symmetric su(2)−valued Yang-Mills fields. Here, we focus on by far less known time dependent solutions of these equations, and especially on perturbations of Friedmann-Lemaitre homogeneous solutions. By analysing the hamiltonian constraints, we ...
